4.  U.S. OPEN – THIS WEEKEND

The United States Golf Association (USGA) is currently hosting the U.S. Open Golf Championship at The Los Angeles Country Club.  This event will bring thousands of visitors to our area the same weekend as UCLA graduation.

Parking & Transportation
The USGA, in conjunction with the cities of Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, has unveiled a comprehensive parking and transportation plan.  Please click the link below for the complete notice.

U.S. Open Parking & Transportation Info.

Road Detours and Traffic
24-hour road detours will take place in the immediate vicinity of The Los Angles Country Club now through Monday, June 19.  Local residents and through traffic are encouraged to adjust travel around peak U.S. Open arrival and departure times (7-11 a.m. and 4-8 p.m.) in the vicinity of The Los Angeles Country Club. Shuttle and vehicular traffic is expected to be heavy along the primary routes in and around The Los Angeles Country Club during these times.

Street Access for Residents:
Due to the U.S. Open traffic plan, the only access point for residents along Birchwood, Devon, and Strathmore will be from Beverly Glen Blvd or Devon Ave. Unfortunately, they will not be able to access their homes via Comstock Ave. through June 18.  Residents that live on Comstock Ave. between Wilshire Blvd. and Beverly Glen will be given hangtags by the USGA to access their residence with no issue. This will be the same procedure for residents along Club View Drive between Comstock Ave. and Beverly Glen Blvd.

Holmby Park Access
All residents will have walking access to Holmby Park.  However, although the park will be open all week, there is no available parking on either side of the streets bordering the park.

Contact USGA
Should a resident feel the need to contact someone, we have the 2023 U.S. Open email address that is monitored throughout the day by a team of individuals.

Email USGA:
2023usopen@usga.org
