MUSIC MENDS MINDS
Dear Neighbors,
I am reaching out to tell you about the amazing group that I co-founded and continue to run, to help those living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, Parkinson’s, stroke, traumatic brain injury, or PTSD through music.

It’s been our real-life experience, which research supports, that making music, rhythm and singing increases brain function and brings joy back into the lives of those living with these challenges. You can join us both in person and virtually, and see the benefits yourself!

All are warmly welcome to join by whichever method suits you best—either in person, or virtually via Zoom.

  1. IN-PERSON: Weekly rehearsals, making music together.
  2. BY ZOOM:  Live sing-along sessions led by a board-certified music therapist.
  3. VOLUNTEERS WANTED:  If you have time and interest in volunteering, we are particularly looking for people in good health who have musical background (instrument and/or voice) to help with our musical programs, and even if you don’t have a musical background we’d love to have you as a welcoming host for our rehearsals and events.
