1.  HWPOA BOARD MEETING – VIDEO CONFERENCE

On Tuesday, June 9 at 7:30 PM, the HWPOA Board of Directors will hold its monthly meeting.  Due to social distancing restrictions, the meeting will be a video-conference held online via Zoom.  Please click here to see the agenda.

2.  PLANNED PROTEST AT FEDERAL BLDG. – SATURDAY

A protest is scheduled tomorrow, Saturday, June 6th at the Wilshire Federal Building from 2PM – 4PM.

Councilmember Koretz and the LAPD are aware of the upcoming protest and have been asked to take appropriate safety and security precautions.

REPORTING SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
LAPD has asked that if you are in a business district and witness a significantly unusual circumstance — such as two or more cars together driving at a slow pace and seemingly scouting an area — please carefully and safely make note of license plates and if possible, take a photo, and email to Westwood Senior Lead Officer Pete Ojeda at 36393@lapd.online.

Obviously, if you feel the matter is urgent or are witnessing a crime in progress, call 9-1-1.

In terms of rumors or social media posts: Please only send the LAPD information that is actionable, such as the original media post or statements from individuals where there is a name or address to track down. If something is a social media post that has been REPOSTED, please track down the original post before sending to the LAPD.

5.  CLEANUP AFTER PROTESTS

We are humbled and touched by the outpouring of support for our cleanup efforts. Thank you!  While we aren’t seeking volunteers at this time, we do need your help to report WHERE our cleanup services are needed after the weekend demonstrations.

Please call our 24-hour Customer Care Center at 1-800-773-2489 with specific locations/addresses.  Alternatively, you can use the MyLA311 app or go online at https://myla311.lacity.org to report locations and post photos.

8.  TRASH BIN USAGE

A homeowner on Lindbrook reported that a woman driving a white Range Rover has been driving around the neighborhood and dumping her garbage into other people’s trash bins.  If you have more garbage than will fit in your bins, please ask your neighbors if you may utilize their bins or call L.A. Sanitation at 1-800-773-2489 to request service.  Thank you.
