UPDATE – Protest in Westwood & Curfew

Planned Protest in Westwood – Monday

HWPOA has been informed that the planned protest beginning at the Wilshire Federal Building has changed its start time to 2:00 PM on Monday, June 1, 2020.

Please avoid Westwood and the surrounding area and use caution for your commute and errands.

Curfew

The County and City of Los Angeles have instituted a curfew again tonight (Sunday) beginning at 6:00 p.m. until 6 a.m. on Monday morning.  The curfew requires people within the City of Los Angeles to stay indoors tonight.

Message from LAPD

We received the following information from the Brentwood Homeowners Assoc. (BHA).  Members of the BHA spoke Sunday evening to Captain Tom of WLAPD:

  • The National Guard has been deployed to Century City Mall and Westwood Village.
  • Officers are in the field chasing what Captain Tom described as “professional criminals looking for opportunities,” and LAPD is overwhelmed. Because of this deployment, a minimum number of officers are answering 911 calls.

Please Stay Safe

Homeowners should secure their homes and lock cars, as always. Everyone should take the curfew seriously and remember they are safest in their homes.
