9.  GET COVERED CA – HEALTH INSURANCE

Dear neighbors:

Right now you can sign up for affordable health insurance for 2019. Why get covered? Because health insurance can protect you from unexpected costs when an accident or illness occurs. Signing up for comprehensive coverage will give you and your family peace of mind, as well as financial security if you or a loved one gets hurt or sick.

Here is what you need to know to get covered using the health care marketplace:

California’s health insurance open enrollment period ends on January 15, 2019. You can sign up for coverage or learn more by visiting www.coveredca.com  or calling 1 (800) 300-1506.

Coverage could be more affordable than you think. Premium assistance to help reduce the cost of health care is available to individuals and families who enroll in a Covered California health insurance plan and meet requirements.

Already had coverage through Covered California for 2018? This year, it is more important than ever to head back to CoveredCA.com and shop and save—comparing options for 2019. In some areas, there may be more plans to choose from.

If you have questions, free help is available. Professionals are available to help you find the right plan and get signed up. If you would like to get in touch with a broker or navigator who can help you sign up for insurance, you can search for someone in your area here . Or, if you’d like to attend an in-person event to learn more, you can find upcoming events here .

Take the time to learn about your options and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact my Los Angeles office at 323-651-1040.

Sincerely,
Ted W. Lieu
Member of Congress
