3.  COVID UPDATES

Vaccines for Ages Six Months and Older
The COVID-19 vaccine for those 6 months to 4 years of age is now available in Los Angeles County! Starting June 21, 2022, more than 900 vaccination sites began offering the vaccines to these youngest children including more than 500 mobile sites, 200 pharmacies and seven Public Health Points of Dispensing (PODs). Reach out ahead of time to verify hours and availability as some of the pharmacy sites are only licensed to vaccinate children age 3 and older.

Visit the L.A. County Department of Public Health website at VaccinateLACounty.com to learn about locations, and schedules for clinics offering these and other COVID-19 vaccines.

Have COVID Symptoms but Tested Negative?
If individuals are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, and their first at-home test is negative, they should continue isolating and take a second test one to two days later. Most at-home COVID-19 test kits come with two tests for this exact purpose.

For more information and to find COVID testing, visit https://dhs.lacounty.gov/covid-19/testing/.

At-Home COVID Tests – Expiration Date May Have Been Extended
Did you know, that at-home COVID-19 tests have an expiration date that may have been extended? Check your test before using it.

  • Look at the expiration date on the box. It is printed as year – month – day. (For example, 2022 11 20 means November 20, 2022).
  • If your kit is passed that expiration date, check if it has been extended by going to FDA.gov for the List of Authorized At-Home OTC COVID-19 Diagnostic Tests.
  • Type in the name of your test and check the Expiration date column to see if your test is still good to use
