4.  LONDON CLEANERS – GOING OUT OF BUSINESS

We are sorry to announce that London Cleaners in Westwood Village is going out of business.  A homeowner recently spoke to Erika, one of the two sisters who works there. She said that the owner, Barry, passed away last summer and that his children no longer want to run the business, despite how successful it is. The dry cleaner will remain open for pickups until June 30th.

Erika said that several of the employees, including her sister Lorena, and Mike, are going to work at Perfect Cleaners on Pico, near the Rancho Park Golf Course. The website is www.perfectcleaners.com

6.  DMV NEWS – GET A REAL ID NOW

Summer is the perfect time to relax, recharge, and get your REAL ID! With only 11 months until you are required to show a federally accepted document, like a REAL ID, to board a flight within the United States, this summer is the ideal time to take a break from the sun to upgrade your driver’s license.

Beginning May 3, 2023, air travelers heading on vacation or business trips within any of the 50 states will need to have a REAL ID compliant driver’s license if they want to continue using it at airport security checkpoints. Otherwise, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will require another federally approved form of identification.

We are excited to return with our 2022–23 Fall/Winter program lineup bringing new works by dynamic musicians, renowned dance artists and multi-disciplinary collaborations to UCLA’s stages.

Highlights include the return of Obie Award-winning theater duo 600 Highwaymen, Grammy Award-winning artists Branford Marsalis, Antonio Sánchez and Cécile McLorin Salvant, Tony-Award Winner Bill T. Jones, and more.  Tickets on sale soon!
