2.  MOVIE PREMIERE – STREET CLOSURES

Samantha Sackler Productions is hosting the premiere of “TROLLS” at the Regency Village and Bruin Theatres, located at 961 Broxton Ave, at 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 23, 2016. There will be various sidewalk and street closures around the area of Broxton Avenue between Weyburn Avenue and Le Conte Avenue.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact Erica Jean Pacheco or Marguerite Pellegrin of 4Wall Entertainment Lighting at 818-252-7481.

3.  LEARN ABOUT THE 2016 BALLOT PROPOSITIONS

There are a number of propositions that are on the ballot this year, and reading the voter guide can be an arduous process.  If you want to understand all of the issues before you cast your ballot but don’t want to read the entire voter guide….have a “Prop Party”!

A Prop Party is an event where voters get together with friends to discuss the ballot measures.  You can ask each guest to research one ballot proposition ahead of time – the pros/cons, who supports it, etc.  Then host a party – dinner, lunch, or whatever you’d like.  At the Prop Party, each guest then discusses their findings about the proposition they researched.  It’s a great way to socialize and learn about the ballot measures at the same time.

DO YOU OWN A SPANISH COLONIAL REVIVAL HOUSE?

Hello neighbors,

We recently purchased a 1935 Spanish colonial revival house on Malcolm Avenue, which we have begun to renovate.  We discovered that the original floor in the foyer was replaced with vinyl, which was in turn replaced with a stone tile.

We would like to replace the stone tile with flooring that is more in keeping with architecture of the house and the era in which it was built.  We would be grateful if you would let us know if you have a 1930s era Spanish colonial revival house with the original floor in the foyer and, if so, if you would allow us to see and photograph it.

Please send us an e-mail at ana@friendlycoach.com.

Many thanks you for your assistance,
Trip and Ana Friendly
