1.  MAIL THEFT

We have received increased reports of mail theft in the area over the past few months.  While home mailboxes are most often affected, mail left overnight in USPS public boxes is also susceptible. It is highly advisable not to drop off mail after last pickup at 5pm.

All mail related crime should be reported to the USPS Inspection Service. Click here to learn more.

In addition, it is advisable to have packages shipped with a signature required for delivery.  Thieves have been know to follow behind delivery trucks (USPS, Fedex, UPS, etc.) and steal packages from the front porch within minutes of being delivered.

2.  LADBS GO – NEW PHONE APP

The Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety has launched a new phone app that lets residents check the status of their construction plans and even lets you report building code violations. The app is called LADBS Go. Click here to view more details about downloading the app.

3.  ARE YOU READY FOR EL NINO?

4.  WEST L.A. LITTLE LEAGUE SIGN-UPS

Register for the Spring 2016 season by November 30 to take advantage of our early bird discount!

This year, it will be easier than ever for families to fit baseball into their busy schedules.

  • All baseball divisions (other than Majors) will now have fixed weekday practices.
  • Most divisions will have fewer required practices each week.
  • For those who want more baseball, we will be offering free optional clinics for players ages 9-12.
  • We will be continuing our wildly successful A Ball division, which uses a machine to throw consistent, easy-to-hit pitches — more action and less standing around!
  • We will be offering two T-Ball and Coach Pitch sessions. Sign up for either, or both.
  • For a list of Frequently Asked Questions, click here.

In addition to baseball, WLALL also offers Softball, Coach Pitch and T-Ball for boys and girls.
