1.  PARKING ENFORCEMENT – REPORTING VIOLATIONS

To report any vehicle that is parked illegally or to request parking enforcement of cars that are violating posted parking restrictions within the City of Los Angeles, please call the Dept. of Transportation.

LADOT TEL: (213) 485-4184

2.  EARTHQUAKE PREPAREDNESS

From L.A. City Councilmember Paul Koretz:

Earthquakes happen in Southern California, and major ones happening are only a matter of time. That’s why it’s great to be well-prepared — and of course, emergency preparedness, and having the right supplies on hand, helps not just with earthquakes but also with El Nino and other potential disasters, and even the possibility of household accidents. This flyer contains some very useful information, and please also remember that you can Sign-up at NotifyLA.org for free emergency alerts, and you can create a free, customized emergency family plan at PrepareLANow.org

3.  TRASH BIN ETIQUETTE

Please be sure to remove your trash bins from the street once the trash has been picked up.  Containers must be removed no later than 8:00 p.m. on the day of collection.

In addition, a resident on the 800 block of Thayer reported that someone placed long tubes of paper into their blue recycling bin without permission or knowledge. They also placed large black bags of trash into two of their black bins.  Please use your own bins for all of your trash/recycling, and if you’d like to borrow a neighbor’s bin, please be sure to ask permission before you put anything in the bin.  Thank you.

4.  WEST L.A. LITTLE LEAGUE SIGN-UPS

Register for the Spring 2016 season by November 30 to take advantage of our early bird discount!

This year, it will be easier than ever for families to fit baseball into their busy schedules.

  • All baseball divisions (other than Majors) will now have fixed weekday practices.
  • Most divisions will have fewer required practices each week.
  • For those who want more baseball, we will be offering free optional clinics for players ages 9-12.
  • We will be continuing our wildly successful A Ball division, which uses a machine to throw consistent, easy-to-hit pitches — more action and less standing around!
  • We will be offering two T-Ball and Coach Pitch sessions. Sign up for either, or both.
  • For a list of Frequently Asked Questions, click here.
